Two major projects break ground in Wuhan
Two major projects of Wuhan International Trade City and Kingsoft (Wuhan) headquarters broke ground on January 6, witnessing a total investment of more than 30 billion yuan.
The Wuhan International Trade City lies in the Huangpi District. It covers an area of 7.8 square kilometers, with a total construction area of over 12 million square meters.
The Kingsoft (Wuhan) headquarters is located in the Optics Valley eco-corridor. The number of employees is expected to reach 3,000 within 5 years, of which more than 80 percent are high-end R&D personnel.
Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province, posted strong growth pickup amid the post-pandemic period. In 2020, 570 projects started construction in the city, with a total investment of 1.1 trillion yuan, setting a record high.(en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
