Legend of Hua Mulan to be performed at Cervantes International Art Festival
Cervantes International Art Festival, one of the most important art festivals in the world, will return on October 12-30 this year in Guanajuato, Mexico, celebrating its fiftieth anniversary.
More than 2,500 artists from 33 countries will participate in the festival, bringing 159 theatrical performances and 90 visual arts, film, literature and academic events.
The dance drama Hua Mulan, jointly produced by China National Opera House, Huangpi District of Wuhan City and Ningbo Performing Arts Group, will be staged during the festival on invitation.
Huangpi District is known as the hometown of Hua Mulan, a female warrior joined the army to fight in place of her father during the Southern and Northern Dynasties (420-589). (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
