The renovation of the T2 Terminal of Wuhan International Tianhe Airport, in process since October last year, is on track with electromechanical installation and interior decorations having started.

Twelve intelligent systems will be installed in the upgraded terminal, enabling self-service baggage checkin and facial recognition boarding. Two millimeter-wave gates will be fixed at the security checkpoint where passengers go through self-service and contactless security check in no more than two minutes.

The project is scheduled to be put into use in 2023.
