Central China's Hubei Province has built more than 44,000 5G base stations as of now, with 5G users totaling over 15 million, local communications authorities said on November 11.

According to the province's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), Hubei plans to have 100,000 5G base stations by the end of 2022.

As of 2020, Hubei has built 31,000 5G macro base stations, which enhanced the coverage of cities, towns and villages, and promoted the widespread application of 5G wireless network in traffic hubs, large venues and scenic spots.（en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
