Dongfeng Motor’s sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) stood at 70,745 units in the first quarter of 2022, soaring by 2.6 times year on year, official data showed on April 13.

Of the total, Dongfeng’s premium electric marque Voyah sold 3,693 units in the first three months. The new joint venture brand eGT recorded a year-on-year growth of 1.9 times to 17,456 units. Sales of passenger cars, Liuzhou Motor and Dongfeng Nissan amounted to 10,090 units, 6,301 units and 5,795 units, respectively.

The company has set a sales target of 1 million new energy vehicles during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).（en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
