The Peljesac Bridge, a key infrastructure project in Croatia, opened to traffic on July 26, 2022. The Wuhan branch of CCCC Second Highway Engineering Bureau Co.,Ltd. participated in the construction of the bridge, marking the debut of Hubei efforts in the construction of a European bridge in recent years.

The 2.4-km-long Peljesac Bridge connects the Croatian mainland with the Peljesac Peninsula of its southernmost Dubrovnik-Neretva County, bypassing a short strip of land belonging to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and giving Croatia better access to the area. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
