By the numbers: Highlights of Hubei's agriculture in H1

Here are the highlights of Hubei’s performance in agriculture in the first half (H1) of 2022:


- Added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery rose by 6.1 percent from the same period in 2021, ranking first in central China.


- Per capita disposable income of rural residents reached 8,507 yuan with a growth rate of 8.5 percent, 2.7 percentage points higher than the national average.


- Total grain output in summer harvest recorded a year-on-year growth of 1.8 percent to 9.64 billion catties. The output of rapeseed posted 2.742 million tonnes, up 8.9 percent year on year.


- Operating income of agricultural product processing enterprises above the designated size stood at 438.2 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 11.5 percent.


- Total imports and exports of agricultural products amounted to 13.31 billion yuan, soaring by 25.2 percent year on year.
