The Department of Water Resources of Hubei Province activated a level-IV emergency response for drought at 2:00 p.m. on August 11.

Drought conditions have occurred in Hubei, as the province continues to experience high temperatures.

The department urged relevant localities to enhance the management of drought relief water resources and ensure emergency water supply.
