The construction of Xiangyang-Jingmen high-speed railway began on September 28.

With a total investment of 19.744 billion yuan, the line will stretch 116.8 kilometers with a design speed of 350 km per hour.

The railway, linking the cities of Xiangyang and Jingmen, is set with four stations, namely, Xiangyang East Station, Yicheng North Station, Shuanghe Station and Jingmen West Station.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2026. Upon completion, the railway service is expected to shorten travel time from Xiangyang to Jingmen to less than half an hour.（en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
