Hubei's China-Europe freight train service sees sharp rise in Jan.-Sept. period
China-Europe freight train service in Hubei saw robust growth from January to September amid a safe and smooth operation, according to local railway authorities on October 11, 2022.
The number of China-Europe freight train trips reached 372, up 22.8 percent year on year during the period.
Out of total, the outbound trips expanded 59 percent to 207, while the inbound trips decreased 8 percent to 165.
The export value brought by China-Europe freight trains in the nine months was nearly 6.34 billion yuan, while the import value was nearly 4.29 billion yuan.
Major exported goods are electronic products, medical supplies, auto parts and imported goods mainly include machinery equipment and accessories, industrial raw materials, auto parts and food. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Deng Xinyu and Ruan Xinqi)
