2022 Hubei - South Korea Friendship Week opens

The 2022 Hubei- South Korea Friendship Week, jointly organized by Hubei Provincial Government and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Wuhan, opened on November 17, 2022.


Honghu City of Hubei Province and Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do in South Korea signed an agreement on establishing sister-city relationship at the opening ceremony.


So far, nine pairs of sister cities have been established between Hubei and South Korea, making South Korea one of the countries with the largest number of sister cities with Hubei. Jiangling County, Jingzhou City in Hubei and Kangleung in South Korea became the first pair in 1996.


In addition, Chinese and South Korean guests visited the exhibition displaying trade, education, culture and tourism products of Hubei and South Korea at the opening ceremony, and watched a video telling friendly exchanges between the two sides.


Meanwhile, specific sessions of education and tourism were organized, seeing inter-school friendship cooperation agreements signed between universities from both sides as well as business exchanges and production promotion carried out on site. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Deng Xinyu and Ruan Xinqi)
