Hubei's A-level scenic spots receive over 4.56 mln tourist visits during Dragon Boat Festival holiday
The A-level scenic spots in Hubei Province received more than 4.56 million tourist visits during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday that ended on Saturday, increasing by 20.77 percent and 74.38 percent over the same period in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
During the holiday, a total of more than 3,000 cultural events were rolled out across the province, including over 100 dragon boat races and 900 mass cultural activities.
According to statistics, many scenic spots in the province saw a higher tourist reception than the same period in 2019, citing the year-on-year increase of 57.7 percent of the Yellow Crane Tower Park, 61 percent of the Enshi Grand Canyon, 16.1 percent of Shennongjia, and over 16 percent of the Three Gorges Dam, Three Gorges Waterfall and Three Gorges Household scenic spots in Yichang City.
Tourism revenue contributed by A-level scenic spots in the province reached1.298 billion yuan during the holiday, up 44.70 percent and 78.99 percent over the same period in 2019 and 2022, respectively. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
