Chen Ping, vice governor of Hubei Province, met with a delegation from the State of Saxony, Germany, on July 13, in Wuhan City. She held talks with Thomas Schmidt, vice governor and State Minister for Regional Development of Saxony.

After expressing welcome to the delegation, Chen introduced the economic and social development of Hubei Province. She lauded the friendly relationship between Hubei and Saxony which was established since 2007 and fruitful cooperation results achieved in the fields of economy, trade and culture.

She paid tribute to Saxony for its support and material assistance to Hubei's anti-epidemic fight, hoping the two sides will further expand economic and trade cooperation, so as to promote common development and prosperity.

It was expected that Saxony will give full play to its leading edge and continue to strengthen cooperation with Hubei in new energy, science, education, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchanges, she added.
