The number of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) in Hubei Province amounted to 150 on December 28, of which 22 were newly-added in 2023, ranking first in central China.

The AEO is defined as a party involved in the international movement of goods in whatever function that has been approved by or on behalf of a national customs administration as complying with supply chain security standards.

In the first 11 months of 2023, Hubei’s foreign trade with countries involved with the Belt and Road Initiative reached 272.47 billion yuan, up 9.8 percent year on year. Of the total, AEO in the province contributed nearly 40 percent to the import and export value. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
