Ezhou-Moscow air cargo service launched
A Boeing 757 freighter from Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport touched down at the Huahu Airport, on January 21, marking the official inauguration of Ezhou-Moscow international air cargo line that links Ezhou City in Hubei Province, with Moscow, capital of Russia.
Operated by Aeroflot-Russian Airlines with a cargo capacity of 30 tonnes, it is the first international air cargo line from Ezhou Huahu Airport to Eastern Europe, and the second international aircargo line initiated by the airport in 2024.
As China’s important Belt and RoadInitiative partner, Russia saw itstrade with China exceeded 200 billion U.S.dollars for the first time in 2023. With the booming growth of Russia's cross-border e-commerce platform, the new airline will serve as a aerial gateway connecting China’s central region with Russia.
Currently, Ezhou Huahu Airport has launched 12 international cargo air routes to link with 15 international cargo destinations in Europe, North America, the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi and Li Yiang)
