A freight train carrying 312 tonnes of Enshi selenium-enriched tea departed from Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, central China's Hubei Province, on January 19.
It marks that the prefecture has launched a new foreign trade channel with China's southeast coast.
The commodities will be sent to the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port via rail transport and then transferred to Morocco and Senegal in Africa by sea.
Compared with the former route, the transportation time will be shortened by five hours with rail-sea transport service, so as to ensure the integrity and safety of goods. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
