The overall turnover of registered technology contracts in Hubei Province amounted to 480.224 billion yuan in 2023, surging by 57.93 percent year on year, and ranking third in China, according to the data released by the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province on Tuesday.

Of the total, five key industries including optoelectronic information, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, health, high-end equipment manufacturing and Beidou totaled 286.109 billion yuan in technology contract turnover, with a year-on-year increase of 91.71 percent.

The turnover of technology contracts exported by enterprises reached 447.839 billion yuan, accounting for 93.26 percent of the total.

Optics Valley Science and Technology Innovation Corridor played a crucial role in technology achievements transferring.
