Hubei handled a total of 34.797 million passenger trips during this year’s Spring Festival travel rush, a 40-day travel period, rising by 0.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023, official data showed on March 6.

Specifically, roads recorded 12.738 million passenger trips, railways 19.456 million, airplanes 2.313 million and sea vessels 290,000.

The highways in the province have transported a total of 55.9585 million vehicles during the 40 days, an increase of 2.03 percent over the same period in 2023 and 13.61 percent over the same period in 2019. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
