The Ezhou Airport bonded logistics center (Type B) was officially operational on May 9, marking a new step of Huahu Airport's opening up to the outside world.

Located in the north of Huahu Airport, the center (Type B) has a planned area of about 0.1 square kilometers and a construction area of about 46,000 square meters, including three bonded warehouses, a bonded inspection area and other facilities.

Huahu Airport in Ezhou City of Hubei Province, also Asia's first professional cargo hub airport, has launched 16 international cargo routes and 48 domestic cargo routes since its operation. It maintains top four in the country in terms of daily cargo flights, and has a daily cargo throughput of more than 2,000 tonnes. From January to April this year, the airport saw its total cargo throughput exceed 210,000 tonnes, of which the international cargo throughput reached 36,000 tonnes. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
