The A-level scenic spots in Hubei Province totally received more than 5.79 million visits during the just-ended Dragon Boat Festival holiday (Jun.8-10) of the year, local cultural and tourism authorities said on June 10.

The figure marked a 22.37-percent increase over that of 2023 in the same period.

This year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday coincided with the Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. During the holiday, cities across the province promoted a variety of folk experience activities such as wrapping Zongzi, hanging mugwort and knotting colored rope. Traditional cultural tours characterized by intangible heritages and Han costume makeup were sought after by tourists.

In addition, night tours were well-received during the three days. Wuhan Flower Expo, Xiangyang OCT, Shiyan Taohuayuan Block, Xiaogan Shuangfeng Mountain Tour Campsite and Tianyu Lake were the most popular destinations. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
