Eight county-level cities of Hubei made the list of the top 100 county-level cities in China this year, according to a report released by the market research firm CCID Consulting on July 31, 2024.

The report evaluated counties based on economic strength, growth potential, prosperity and green sustainability.

The number of finalists of Hubei ranked first in central China and fourth nationwide. They are Xiantao City, Daye City, Yidu City, Qianjiang City, Zaoyang City, Zhijiang City, Hanchuan City and Tianmen City. The former seven moved up at least two spots on the list. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
