A flight carrying 157 tourists from home and abroad took off from Sanxia International Airport on Monday in Yichang City, Hubei Province, bound for Bangkok, Thailand.

So far, the airport has registered 65,300 passenger movements, hitting a new high.

In the first half of this year, the airport recorded 344 landings and taking-offs. It handled 53,000 passengers including 27,000 foreign tourists, soaring by 68 percent from the same period of 2019. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
