Four provincial-level overseas economic and trade cooperation zones added in Hubei
The Commerce Department of Hubei Province has granted licenses to four overseas economic and trade cooperation zones, according to a meeting held in Wuhan on Friday.
Overseas economic and trade cooperation zones refer to economic and trade cooperation zones invested and constructed by Chinese enterprises in foreign countries. The four zones are Hubei Dijian economic and trade cooperation zone in Malaysia, the YOFC (Hubei) economic and trade cooperation zone in Poland, the Detian Dudou (Hubei) economic and trade cooperation zone in Germany and the Forbon (Hubei) economic and trade cooperation zone in France.
Currently, the province embraces 11 economic and trade cooperation zones in 10 countries including Germany, Poland, France, Malaysia and Russia, covering various areas such as resource utilization, scientific and technological research and development, processing and manufacturing, and agricultural cooperation.
With a total investment of nearly one billion U.S. dollars, 11 cooperation zones have housed 144 enterprises and have created approximately 3,000 jobs as of September 2024. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
