Int'l air cargo route launched between Ezhou and Denmark

A Boeing B777-200F cargo plane took off from Ezhou Huahu International Airport in Hubei Province on Thursday, bound for Billund Airport in Denmark.


It marks the launching of the first direct cargo route to Northern Europe and the 27th international cargo route in Ezhou Huahu International Airport.


Maersk Air Cargo is running the air cargo service and plans to operate it two times a week. The main trade goods include mails and fresh food.


The new route is expected to provide 400 tonnes of air cargo capacity for the transportation of goods between Ezhou and Denmark each week.


The Ezhou Huahu International Airport, which began operations in July 2022, is a cargo-focused hub airport with extensive cargo traffic and some passenger traffic. It has launched 51 domestic cargo routes and 27 international cargo routes. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
