The cargo throughput of Ezhou Huahu International Airport in Hubei Province exceeded one million tonnes on Saturday night, as a flight carrying 28 tonnes of cargo took off from the airport for Manila, capital city of the Philippines.

In addition, a Boeing 767F cargo plane took off from Ezhou Huahu International Airport on Sunday, bound for Anchorage, the United States.

It marks the launching of Ezhou - Anchorage - Seattle cargo route. Currently, Ezhou Huahu International Airport connects to six destinations in North America, including Anchorage, Seattle, Hawaii, New York, Chicago and Miami, covering the east and west coasts of the United States.

The Ezhou Huahu International Airport, which began operations in July 2022, is a cargo-focused hub airport with extensive cargo traffic and some passenger traffic. It has launched 51 domestic cargo routes and 28 international cargo routes.（en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
