A Boeing B777 cargo plane, carrying 100 tonnes of goods, took off from Ezhou Huahu International Airport in Hubei Province on Thursday, bound for Maastricht, the Netherlands.

It marks the launching of Ezhou-Maastricht cargo route.

Atlas Air is running the air cargo service. It mainly transports cross-border e-commerce goodsand general cargo, including clothing, mechanical equipment and electronic products.

From January 3 to 8, Ezhou Huahu International Airport has launched five new international cargo routes to Paris, Mexico City, Clark in the Philippines, Maastricht and Tbilisi in Georgia.

The Ezhou Huahu International Airport, which began operations in July 2022, is a cargo-focused hub airport with extensive cargo traffic and some passenger traffic. It has launched 53 domestic cargo routes and 35 international cargo routes. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
