An Indigo Airlines freighter loaded with electronics, garments, pharmaceuticals, and other goods took off from Ezhou Huahu International Airport on Nov. 12, 2025.

It marked that the number of international cargo flights at the airport surpassed 10,000 this year, up 93.6 percent year on year.

Data shows that in the first ten months of this year, the local border inspection station in Ezhou has handled over 9,500 international cargo flights, a year-on-year increase of 100.9 percent. As of November 11, the airport's International cargo and mail throughput for the year has exceeded 420,000 tonnes, up 109.7 percent year on year.

This year, the airport has launched 20 new international cargo routes, bringing the total number to 50. It is also home to be 19 international cargo airlines. In addition, six international cargo routes linking Liege, Budapest, Chicago and other overseas destinations have been added or increased, further enhancing the airport's global connectivity. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
