The National Bureau of Statistics released the grain production data for 2025 on Dec. 12, 2025, revealing that Hubei's total grain output reached 55.824 billion jin (about 27.9 million tonnes), an increase of 117 million jin (about 58,500 tonnes ) compared to the previous year.

The grain yield per mu rose to 395.2 kilograms, up by 2.01 kilograms.

This harvest marks the 13th consecutive year that the province's grain production has surpassed the 50 billion jin (25 million tonnes) threshold. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
