In 2025, Hubei delivered a standout performance in foreign trade of agricultural products, seeing the total imports and exports reach 34.86 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 17.2 percent.

Out of total, exports hit 14.06 billion yuan, up 6.9 percent from the previous year. The figure was 5.2 percentage points higher than the national average.

At present, there have been 732 agricultural enterprises with export performance in the province, 36 of which were newly established in 2025.

In 2025, Hubei exported agricultural products to 170 countries worldwide, stabilizing key markets such as Malaysia, Vietnam, South Korea, and the United States while expanding into emerging markets including Burundi, Curaçao, and Zimbabwe.

During the same period, high-value-added, intensively processed agricultural products accounted for over 30 percent of total exports. Yeast, mushroom sauce, and konjac-based products became key export drivers.
