The Zhuankou Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province, was named as top 10 most beautiful bridges in China recently, the Department of Transport of Hubei Province said on November 13, 2023. As the ninth bridge crossing the Yangtze River in Wuhan, it was opened to traffic in 2018. With a main span of 760 meters and a width of 46 meters, the two-way eight-lane bridge is the widest expressway bridge in Wuhan when it was completed, and it is also the first steel structure bridge in the world to adopt the new technology of U-rib welding. (Photo provided by the constructor CCC Second Harbor Engineering Harbor Company Ltd.)
