Valeo's second plant in Wuhan put into operation

Valeo, a famous French auto parts maker, saw its second plant in Wuhan put into operation on February 8, 2022.
Located in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, the new plant is dedicated to the production of lamps for world-renowned electric vehicle brands. It is equipped with intelligent and autonomous production lines and is expected to reach an annual production capacity of 500,000 lamps.
Valeo built its first plant in Wuhan in 1995. Over the past 27 years, the plant’s production capacity has expanded from 150,000 lamps to 2 million headlights and 1.5 million rearlights. In 2021, its sales reached nearly 1.5 billion yuan.
In addition, Valeo invested 55 million yuan in building a R&D center in the same city in 2019, which is the largest R&D center of this multinational automotive supplier in the world.
