In cooperation with China UnionPay, Wuhan Metro introduced a new method of payment on Feb. 8.

Once their phone or wearable device is connected with a UnionPay Card, or with any IC debit or credit card with the "闪付QuickPass" sign on it, passengers can swipe their electronic device or IC card over the turnstile to enter or exit the station. The fare will be deducted from the relevant UnionPay bank account.
