China-Europe freight train (Wuhan) makes first trip to Helsinki
A China-Europe freight train (Wuhan) just made its first trip to Helsinki, Finland. On Feb. 22, a freight train loaded with car parts, clothes and medical supplies departed from Wuhan, traveling northwards to Manzhouli. After leaving China for Ust-Luga, Russia, the goods will then be transported to Mukran, Germany via barge and transferred to Hamburg and Duisburg via rail, from where 18 containers of goods worth RMB 1.87 million will finally be sent to Helsinki.

Compared with the past when goods were shipped by sea to Europe and then transported by trucks after arriving to Europe, the new route is more time-saving and cost-effective, marking an extension of the existing Wuhan-Europe transportation route.
There are now 30 regular China-Europe freight train (Wuhan) routes across Eurasia, connecting over 70 cities in more than 30 countries.
