The earliest book in the library that can be dated is a doctoral thesis by a scholar of the university entitled "De la répartition des compétences dans les constitutions fédérales." The thesis was published in 1920 in Paris bearing the author's signature. "There are some collections whose publication dates are not verifiable at the moment, so there might be earlier ones," said Son Denghan, a staff member from the Wuhan University Library.
