The fourth railway station in Wuhan’s urban area - Wuhan East Railway Station - is about to put into use soon, China Railway Wuhan Bureau Group said on August 10, 2022.

Located at East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China), the station is a major provincial, municipal and district-level transportation infrastructure project, linking one railway line, one high-speed rail line and three inter-city railways.

It will become a comprehensive transportation hub of Wuhan City Circle. Starting from the station, it will take only 10 minutes to reach the Third Ring Road, 40 minutes to reach the core area of the three towns of Wuhan (Wuchang, Hankou, Hanyang) and 60 minutes to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport.

The main urban area of Wuhan will form a traffic network with Wuhan East Railway Station in the east, Wuchang Railway Station in the south, Hankou Railway Station in the west, and Wuhan Railway Station in the north.
