Brazilian striker Marcao scored a brace in just one minute as Wuhan Three Towns rallied to beat Dalian Pro 2-1 in the 2022 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Wednesday.

Dalian went ahead in the 54th minute when 21-year-old Zhao Jianbo scored his first CSL goal from Sun Guowen's superb pass.

Marcao equalized for Wuhan with a header in the 84th minute. After less than a minute, the impressive Marcao made it 2-1 with a dazzling long-range shot.

"I want to dedicate the victory to the fans and thank the players for their hard work," said Wuhan head coach Pedro Morilla in the post-match press conference.

"Dalian's lead in the second half was not what we expected, but our players were very patient and finally won the game."

Elsewhere, Tianjin Jinmen Tiger defeated Wuhan Yangtze River 3-0 and Shanghai Shenhua drew 1-1 with Guangzhou City.

Wuhan now leads the CSL standings with 72 points, six points ahead of Shandong Taishan which has two more games in hand.
