The gross domestic product (GDP) of Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, totaled 1.886643 trillion yuan in 2022, with a year-on-year increase of 4.0 percent based on comparable prices, local authorities said on Wednesday.

In 2022, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in Wuhan expanded to 83.672 billion yuan, ascending by 3.9 percent year on year.

Industrial production in the city maintained sound growth momentum during the period. The added value of the industries above designated size went up 5.0 percent year on year.

Wuhan's fixed-asset investment rose 10.8 percent from the same period last year, logging a double-digit growth during the period.

The consumer market of the city posted a stable performance over the same period, with the total retail sales of consumer goods reaching 693.62 billion yuan, surging by 2.1 percent year on year.

During the period, Wuhan’s foreign trade registered a year-on-year increase of 5.3 percent to 353.22 billion yuan.

In 2022, the per capita disposable income of urban residents jumped by 5.7 percent to 58,449 yuan, and that of rural residents grew by 7.7 percent to 29,304 yuan.（en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
