Wuhan Tianhe Airport handles 5.44 million passenger trips in Q1 of 2023

The passenger throughput of the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport surpassed 5.44 million in the first quarter (Q1) of this year, surging by 64.9 percent from the same period last year, said the airport sources.
During the same period, the flights handled in the airport rose 38.7 percent year on year to hit 45,705.
The numbers of flights and passenger trips expanded by 90.9 percent and 81.0 percent, respectively, from the pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
In 2023, the airport is scheduled to resume operations of 27 international and regional air routes and increase the number of domestic air routes to 203, outnumbering that of 2019. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
