The 20th Optics Valley of China Intellectual Property International Forum was held from May 16 to 17 at the East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as Optics Valley of China, in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.

At the event, experts and academics from home and abroad exchanged their views under the theme of "wisdom radiates energy, intellectual property creates future".

The international cooperation center for Optics Valley intellectual property was officially launched at the opening ceremony. The center signed contracts with ten institutions including Center for Studies of Intellectual Property Rights of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and School of Intellectual Property of Wuhan Institute of Technology.

Since its launch in 2001, the forum has been held for 18 sessions. It is one of the most influential international intellectual property rights (IPR) forums. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
