Intangible Cultural Heritage Folk Art Week kicks off in Wuhan
The 2023 National Intangible Cultural Heritage Folk Art Week, a sub-event of this year's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, will be held from June 9 to 15 in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.
During the event, a total of 145 intangible cultural heritage projects of folk art and 209 relevant shows will be staged. An array of activities including the opening ceremony, grass-roots performances, live broadcasting will also be organized to share the fruits of folk art protection.
Hubei’s 13 national-level intangible cultural heritage projects of folk art are expected to make their appearance during the event.
Since 2006, China has celebrated cultural heritage day on the second Saturday of June. In 2017, it was renamed Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
