A plan with implementation measures to develop innovation demonstration zones for promoting import trade in Wuhan was issued and approved recently, the plan’s principal maker Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (or Optics Valley) said on June 4.

The plan focuses on six major areas, including 22 measures such as expanding and strengthening the opto-electronic information industry, opening up international logistics channels, and promoting the application of "single window".

It is expected that Optics Valley will reach an annual import trade volume of 100 billion yuan and have over 1,000 enterprises with import and export records by 2025. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
