The 5th Hankouli Bamboo Bed Cultural Festival took place on Friday in Wuhan Garden Expo Park.

“The festival is a cultural activity to evoke old memories of bamboo beds for Wuhan people on summer nights," said Yang Xuan, head of the event.

More than 200 bamboo beds are on display this year, including the one which is 5 meters long, 1.2 meters wide and 0.4 meters high.

The festival will run until August 22. A host of artistic performances such as acrobatics, songs, dances and cross talk will also be staged during the period. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
