On Aug. 2, the Fortune magazine released its latest list of the world's top 500 companies. In 2023, a total of 142 Chinese companies are in the list. Among them is the Wuhan Dongfeng Motor Corporation.

In this year's list, the number one remains unchanged, with Walmart becoming the world's largest company for the tenth consecutive year. Saudi Aramco moved up to second place for the first time, while State Grid Corporation of China remained in third place.

Innovations and breakthroughs in new energy vehicle technology have created two dark horses. Among the world's largest auto companies, nine are Chinese ones, of which BYD has jumped from 436 to 212, the largest increase in the ranking of Chinese companies, withCATL entering the list for the first time, reaching 292.
