The 2023 International Conference on Photochemistry and Industry was held on Wednesday in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.

Under the theme of “Enlighten the future-Empowering the development of green industry”, the conference attracted more than 800 representatives from 15 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Canada, Japan and Singapore.

The conference invited two Nobel Prize laureates - David W. C. MacMillan and Benjamin List, and gathered more than 700 representatives of universities and institutions in photochemistry.

During the four-day event, an array of activities including academic forums and industrial forums will be organized. Representatives and experts will jointly discuss topics such as frontier achievements and future development direction in the field of photochemistry, transformation of scientific and technological achievements as well as new research and development institutions.

In addition, an exhibition on the innovation achievements of enterprises in the field of photochemistry will also be held. It will focus on the latest scientific and technological innovation achievements of upstream and downstream enterprises in the photochemical industry, and the latest innovative technologies developed in cooperation with universities and institutions. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
