The first Donghu Forum kicked off in Wuhan today, with attendance of several world’s top experts and scholars in the fields of science popularization and sci-tech innovation as well as representatives of international enterprises and organizations.

During three days, the forum will organize a national science popularization working conference, opening ceremony, a keynote forum, 11 science popularization forums and 11 sci-tech innovation forums. At the same time, the science and technology venues will carry out special science popularization activities and provide related interactive experiences.

As highlights of the forum, the Global Digital Economy Development Index Report and the Wuhan Sci-tech Innovation Center Index Report 2023 have been released at the opening ceremony this morning.

15 exhibition areas will be set up at the Optics Valley Science and Technology Exhibition Center from October 20 to 22, displaying remarkable results of science popularization from home and abroad as well as the latest scientific and technological innovation achievements of the country and the province, the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province introduced. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi and Xin Mingcan)
