7th Wuhan Design Biennale kicks off

The 7th Wuhan Design Biennale opened in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, on November 1, 2023.


This year, the location of the Biennale activities is determined in accordance with the "two-venue" mode: Wuchang District Simeitang Railway Heritage Cultural Park and Hongshan District Wusteel Yungu ·606 Industrial Park.


It features five major thematic exhibition halls and 16 thematic exhibition areas. All exhibitions are now open to the public and will continue until November 15.


Under the theme of “Integrated Design: Greater Wuhan -- Building Visions With Creativity”, the exhibition includes nearly 20 sections such as the opening ceremony, thematic exhibitions, summit forums, roundtable meetings and closing ceremony.


The exhibition has invited 25 representatives from 20 countries of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and friendly cities, as well as more than 3,000 experts from home and abroad.


This year, Beidou Digital Technology Zone makes its debut for the first time during the event, showcasing products such as drones equipped with the Beidou Navigation Satellite System, Beidou handheld devices, short message platforms, and in-car devices.


In addition, the exhibition also introduces an online Wuhan Design Biennale Metaverse Hall and the NFT digital collection called "Super Design Seed - Wuhan," empowering the design exhibition with digital technology. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei and Wang Zihui )
