Wuhan City Polytechnic, a vocational college located in Wuhan, Hubei’s capital city, held graduation ceremony for 22 Ugandan students on November 7. After returning to their homeland, they are expected to serve their own country’s economic and social development and benefit more people with professional skills learned in Wuhan.

It was the college’s fifth time to undertaken this training program since 2016.

In recent years, Wuhan City Polytechnic has steadily broadened the fields of foreign aid training, enriched the curriculum and innovated the training methods. The training fields have gradually expanded from pre-school education, tourism service skills, aquaculture, edible mushroom cultivation, engineering surveying, handicraft product research and development, woodworking technology at initial stage to more than 20 fields such as automobile maintenance, electronic information, mineral detection and development, solar power generation (maintenance and repair) and cross-border e-commerce.

Students from more than 40 countries and regions, including Uganda, Gambia, Cambodia, Sierra Leone, Laos and Tanzania have once received training in the college, leaving high praise and commendation. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi and Xin Mingcan)
