International Education Cooperation Conference held in Wuhan

The International Education Cooperation Conference, a sub-event of the 2023 Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China (COCPDC), was held on Thursday in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.
Organized by the Department of Education of Hubei Province, the event attracted experts and scholars from home and abroad including the United Kingdom, Canada and Singapore, so as to share international educational experience.
During the conference, three universities in Hubei reached cooperation agreements with Indonesia, namely, Wuhan Polytechnic University and Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Hubei University of Economics and Yarsi University, Wuhan Institute of Shipbuilding Technology and Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis.
Yudil Chatim, Education and Culture Attache at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, said that universities and institutions in China and Indonesia have close cooperation in the areas of student exchange, personnel training and Chinese language promotion. He expected that educational cooperation could contribute to the cultivation of more high-level talents in the two countries.
In addition, other five universities and colleges in Hubei signed cooperation agreements in online and offline forms, including Hubei University and the University of Edinburgh, Hubei Engineering University and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology, Wuhan Conservatory of Music and Singapore Raffles Music College, Hubei University of Education and Canada Excellence Education Group, Hubei Polytechnic Institute and Davis College.
