2024 Wuhan Marathon to kick off in March
The 2024 Wuhan Marathon will be held on March 24 and is expected to draw 30,000 runners, the organizing committee said on Tuesday.
The course will take in several tourist attractions in Wuhan, starting from the office building of China Three Gorges Corporation beside the Yangtze River and ending at Happy Valley, a popular amusement park in the city.
The event consists of three categories: full marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.0975 km) and 13-km run. The number of runners will reach 12,000 for the full marathon, 10,000 for the half marathon and 8,000 for the 13-km run, according to officials.
Participants can make registration on the official website of Wuhan Marathon from January 10 to 13. The draw result is expected to be announced in early February.
Coinciding with the cherry blossom season, a series of cultural and tourism activities will also be organized during the Wuhan Marathon. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
