The gross domestic product (GDP) of Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, totaled 2.001165 trillion yuan in 2023, with a year-on-year increase of 5.7 percent based on comparable prices, local authorities said on Sunday.

The respective added values of Wuhan's primary, secondary and tertiary industries were 47.438 billion yuan, 680.091 billion yuan and 1.273636 trillion yuan, up 4.2 percent, 5.1 percent and 6.2 percent.

Notably, the GDP of East Lake High-tech Development Zone and Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone in the city exceeded 200 billion yuan. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
